Tell us what you’re planning and confirm your email address with a code. We suggest what goes with it, and you change what doesn’t fit.
Send the link
To your WhatsApp group, by email or however works for you. The link works until you reset it.
The others join in
Whoever opens the link enters their name and email address and is in. If you like, you approve new people yourself first.
Common questions
Do I need to sign in?
Yes, with your name and email address. We send you a code, and you enter it. You don’t need a password. We only use your address to sign you in, you won’t get any ads. You stay signed in on your device.
How do I invite the others?
Send a link, for example to your WhatsApp group, or enter email addresses. The link works until you reset it. After that the old one stops working, and anyone already in stays in.
Who can see our group?
Only the people in it. Anyone with the link can join. If that’s too open, you let new people in only after you approve them, or invite by email only. Admins can also remove people. Only admins see your email address.
Where is our data stored?
The database is in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, and we send emails through a service in Ireland. We never need a phone number. The privacy policy has the details.
Is there an app?
Companda runs in the browser, on your phone just like on your computer. You don’t have to install anything. An app for iPhone and Android is on the way.
What does it cost?
Nothing. Companda is free and has no ads.
Can someone else help organize the group?
Yes. You can make others in the group admins too.
